In the second class this week we talked about the types of leadrship, we even did an activity for the first time.

But we’re not here to talk about how we don’t work in our business class, we’re here to talk about the types of leaderships. First, let’s start talking about what a leader is: a leader is someone who has the ability to manage and influence other people to achieve a single goal. There are quite a few qualities that a leader should have , but the main ones are: adaptation, comunication, trust.

There are three main types of leaders:

·       AutocraticAn autocratic leader is a leader who gives orders and doesn’t care about what everyone else thinks. This type of leader can be useful when no one in the team has the initiative to do any of the work. Autocratic leaders rarely accept advice from the rest of the group

·       DemocraticA democratic leader is a leader that usually wants other perople to contribute ideas and listens to other’s advice. This type of leader usually lets their teammates or employees have more freedom in terms of their function and grants them more power to make decisions.

·       Lassiez-FaireLassiez-Faire leaders basically let their employees or teammates do whatever they want as long as they get the job done. In english, lassiez faire means “leave alone” which can be good for some people but bad for others.

That will be all for today, be sure to stay tuned for two more posts each week.
